The Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) held its annual Fiter Bayram Function at 501 Receptions on Sunday 14th October 2007.
It was a very successful night with over 400 people in attendance. Everyone had a wonderful evening, with a real focus on ensuring all the children were included in the festivities.
Once again, the Kid’s Bayram Gift Registry was a huge success with the children called up to receive a Bayram show bag.
There was also a moving performance with traditional Albanian instrument by our special guests Adem Gjoshi with the ‘Çifteli’ and Ymer Rexha with the ‘Qemale’. The attendees were also entertained during the evening by Ardian Latifi and the Albanian band ‘Besjanёt’.
A highlight of the night was the performance by a group of children who attend the AAIS Sunday Islamic Classes. The performance was a play about the ‘5 Pillars of Islam’ and had everyone out of their seats and captivated. The children did a wonderful job and made everyone very proud with their efforts.
The AAIS Executive Committee would also like to thank Br. Kujtim Zhubi for the excellent job he conducted as the presenter for the evening.
Finally, the AAIS Executive Committee would also like to thank all members and their families for that attended the evening and help make the event a success for our Society and community.

MBRËMJE PËR FESTËN E BAJRAMIT
Si zakonisht për çdo vitë festën e Fitër Bajramit, Shoqata Islamike Shqiptare Australiane (AAIS) e organizojë ditën e Dielë me datën 14 Dhjetor 2007 në 501 Receptions.
Në këtë mbrëmje me një atmosfer të këndshme, mysafirët i argëtoj grupi ‘Besjanët’ me këngëtarin, Ardian Latifin, gjithashtu muzikë me çifteli dhe qemale e përcjedhur nga mysafirët tonë Adem Gjoshi dhe Ymer Rexha.
Programin e mbrëmjes e ndriçuan edhe grupi i fëmijëve të klasave Islamike të AAIS-it, duke zhvilluar recitimin rreth ‘5 shtyllave në Islam’. Ishte kjo një kënaqësi ku në këtë mbrëmje morën pjesë diku rreth 400 antar.
Këshilli i Shoqatës AAIS dëshiron të falënderoj vll. Kujtim Zhupi për punën e ti jashtzakonisht të bukur për udhëheqjen e programit të mbrëmjes.
Gjithashtu falënderojm tëgjith të pranishmit për pjesmarjen e tyre për këtë mbrëmje të suksesshme për Xhamin dhe mbarë komunitetin tonë.
